Daycare: Our babies frequently fall in the at risk category, therefore we are in need of providing in house daycare services so that their mother’s can go back to work and they can be cared for in the home.
Non-residential care Services: We have seen an increase in the number of women in crisis pregnancies. We want to be able to provide our services on an “out-patient” basis in order to help equip more women to choose life.
Housing: We provide 24/7 care. In order to maintain the health and safety of every woman and baby, we have created “quarantine rooms” for all new mothers stocked with microwave, refrigerator, and food so that they remain social-distanced for the first two weeks of their time in the home. This way we are able to continue to move forward with our mission by continuing to intake new moms.
Food/Clothing/Baby Items: We provide our moms with everything they need for them and their baby free of charge during their stay at Hannah’s Home. Due to the Coronavirus, we have had to suspend all in-kind donations which is typically how we provide all of the material goods and non-perishable food items for the home. This has placed an additional strain on the finances of the ministry.
Transportation: We do not live on a public transportation route and therefore we ensure that our residents arrive safely to every appointment, work shift, and other locations. Due to COVID-19 we have had to halt our volunteer aid which added financial increases to our budget to make sure our women and babies have adequate and safe transportation.
Counsel, pregnancy, parenting, life skills education, and social work services have continued as normal with our current mothers and gone virtual for our quarantined moms.
